This chapter is the first part of the INSPIRE workshop conducted on 22 May 2025 and led by Notus Social Research and FUOC. The speakers introduce a selection of chapters from the Statistical Analysis for Inclusive Gender Equality book, now also available online. This part focuses on statistical techniques for detecting gender gaps, comparing results over time or across organisations, as well as on newer approaches for conducting intersectional analysis (MAHIDA) of GEAM data.
