Chapter 3: Anti-Queerness & Anti-Transness in Higher Education
This webinar focuses on the challenges surrounding LGBTQIA+ in- and ex-clusion in academia, discussing different intersecting forms of anti-queerness and anti-transness within higher education. We discuss how to support and strengthen the crucial work being done to support LGBTQIA+ communities in academia.

Irina Schmitt (irina) is a lecturer in Gender Studies at Lund University, Sweden. Irina's research focuses on trans- and queer-feminist educational research with a focus on organizations where knowledge is produced and the national is inscribed, such as schools and colleges. Another field of interest is queer trans feminist pedagogies. Irina is a member of the employees’ network LGBTQ-LU.
