Chapter 1: Racism and racist discrimination in Higher Education
Racism and racist discrimination persist in higher education but are often overlooked and ignored. How can racist discrimination be addressed and challenged and what practices of anti-racist solidarity are developed within the university system?

1. Dr. Iram Khawaja, Assoc. Prof., Aarhus University, DPU
Dr. Iram Khawaja is an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology at Department of Education and a member of the Committee for Diversity and Gender Equality at ARTS, Aarhus University. Her research focuses on religious and ethnic minoritized communities in education with a specific focus on intersectional processes of racialization and othering.
2. Prof. Doyin Atewologun, CEO and Founder of Delta, former Dean of the Rhodes Scholarships, University of Oxford
Prof. Doyin is a psychologist, scholar practitioner, regular media contributor and multi-award winner in recognition of her innovative pioneering work in promoting inclusion and excellence in organisations. She is CEO and Founder of Delta Leadership & Inclusion Consulting and until recently, Dean of the Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford. Doyin is the Academic Adviser on the UK-government backed Parker Review Committee, and and has extensive experience in coaching, executive education, and programme design.
